Ryan and Dawn + One!

Ryan and Dawn are some friends of my husband and I and are expecting their first child in May. Now that tax season is over, we were able to do a little belly shoot of them together. Emerson has such a sweet little personality and those eyes are still as breath-taking as they have ever been. I have been photographing her since she was only a few months old- it is so fun to see how much she has grown since each session! Enjoy the preview!

This is Addyson. During this whole shoot, I just could not get over how GORGEOUS this little girls eyes are with those super long eyelashes! She certainly made us work to get some smiles out of her! :o) Enjoy the preview!

Where Have I Been?

My husband and I spent the majority of March in Mozambique, Africa, working with some missionaries there. We had an amazing time and fell so in love with the people there. If you have read the profile on this blog, you have heard how the name Tsakani Studios came about. This is the very place that the inspiration came about! The Mozambicans are such passionate people and are always rejoicing in the things the Lord has done for them. They truly are an inspiration to me and Tsakani is a word in their native tongue that means 'rejoicing' or 'happiness.' This is how I strive to live each day and it also helps me to always remember our friends in Mozambique. :o)
